Pinspired!

My inspiration this month is beautiful Pop-Up Book Card created by very talented Ruza Rebel on Ruza's Craft Corner. This is her card:
Original tutorial you can find at Splitcoaststampers. I adjusted measurements to go along with my metric Scor-Board.

This is how my finished card looks like:
1. Take A4 plain cardstock and cut to 14,5x29cm. Score midway at 14,5cm and fold along the score line. Set cardstock aside.

2. Take 30x30cm patterned cardstock and cut 14x28cm strip, measure down 2cm from the top 28cm edge of the paper and cut from 4cm to 24cm. Do the same at the bottom of the paper.

3.Place patterned cardstock on the scoreboard. On the top and bottom 2cm strips, score at 9cm and 19cm. On the middle section, score at 4cm, 14cm and 24cm. These are for valley folds.
4. Turn the patterned cardstock upside-down on the scoreboard. On the top and bottom 2cm strips, score at 14cm. On the middle section, score at 5cm and 23cm. These are for mountain folds.
Here comes the pattern:
5. Valley-fold and mountain-fold along score lines as shown.
6. Adhere your Scor-Tape as shown on the picture below and
8. Adhere patterned cardstock to plain cardstock

9. Embelish as desired

Mid Challenge Tutorial - May Flowers Pinwheel Card

Here we are, flying through the month again!  We are halfway through the month and I have the mid-month tutorial on the Pinwheel Fold Card for you.  I have incorporated my flowers into my lovely designer paper and into the image stamped inside with my message. The rest of the team has made some amazing projects so be sure to check out the Scor-Pal blog for pictures and links to their blogs
For this project, you will need:
  • Scor-Pal
  • Scor-Envi
  • Scor-Tape
  • One 6" x 6" piece of double sided designer paper
  • One 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of card stock
  • One 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of card stock
  • paper snips
  • stamps
  • ink
  • ribbon
Place the Scor-Envi into the top right hand corner of the Scor-Pal.  Place the 6" x 6" piece of designer paper with one corner in the 6" groove, one side aligned with the Scor-Envi and the opposite corner lined up with the 6" groove. Score at the 7 3/4" mark.  Rotate 90 degrees and repeat for the remaining sides. Remember to score on the side of the paper that you want on the outside of your card.
Trim out the triangles made my intersecting score lines on each side.
Burnish your score lines.

Turn designer paper to opposite side and align with the top left hand fence of the Scor-Pal. Score from the top of the paper to the top of the trimmed out triangle.  Rotate 90 degrees and repeat on remaining sides.
Burnish your second set of score lines.
Stamp your sentiment on the 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of card stock.  Adhere with Scor-Tape to the 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of card stock and then adhere to the center of the pinwheel fold card.
Fold one flap down and continue in a clockwise fashion until you get to the last flap.  You will likely need to lift up slightly on the three flaps and tuck the fourth flap underneath.
Tie a generous length of ribbon around the center of the pinwheel fold card for embellishment.
Give this tutorial a try or pick another project.  If you are low on ideas or are looking for inspiration, be sure to check out the Projects on the Scor-Pal website or our Pinterest board.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #48 May Flowers

Welcome to the 48th Monthly Challenge here at Scor-Pal!
We love showing our projects to you and now it's your chance to show your creations to us!
This month we want to see "May Flowers" on your project, with all the rain from April you should have plenty of inspiration.

Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score"

We have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to get you eager to enter.

We have a nice set of samples from the Design Team, just click on their names to go to their blogs for more details on their creations.
